Former PM Gilani’s son kidnapped from PPP meeting in Multan


MULTAN: Unidentified armed men kidnapped Ali Haider Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani from a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) corner meeting in Multan, Geo News reported.
According to details, armed men opened fire in the meeting and injured five people including Ali Haider’s secretary Mohiuddin, who later succumbed to injuries.
Police said Ali Haider Gilani was taken in a black Honda City. The kidnappers came on motorcycles and had the car with them. Entry and exit points of the city have been sealed.
The brother of Ali Haider, Ali Musa Gilani said they would not let elections take place in Multan if their brother was not recovered.
