PTI women’s wing president Fauzia Qasuri quits party

LAHORE: After years of association with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) the founding leader as well as the president of party's women’s wing, Fauzia Qasuri, Wednesday pulled up stakes speculatively in the favour of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
"I did not quit the party, it’s the party which left me in the lurch”, said she.
Expressing her grievances, the founding member of PTI further said that she had urged the leadership to let her contest in the general elections but she was denied party ticket.
However, she was grateful to Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, for providing her a platform to serve the country.
It should not go unmentioned that the PML-N's Kulsoom Nawaz Shairf was in contact with the PTI's estranged leader most probably trying to persuade her into joining the now ruling party.
