PTI to contest for NA speaker, deputy slots



ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to participate in the election for the slot of National Assembly (NA) speaker and deputy speaker while the PTI Chief Imran Khan has decided to keep NA-56 Rawalpindi, one of the three NA seats that he secured in the May 11 polls.
According to the PTI spokesman, Shahryar Afridi has been nominated for the post of NA speaker and Munaza Hassan for deputy speaker.
He further said that Imran Khan has abandoned the seats of NA-1 Peshawar and NA-71 Mianwali, and retained NA-56 Rawalpindi.
