ISLAMABAD: Election Commission Secretary Ishtiak Ahmed Khan has said that there will be no compromise on free and fair election.
“Today is the last day of the long journey we have started, a new Pakistan will emerge tomorrow, ” he said while talking to media persons in Islamabad on Friday.
“ECP has done what it could, now it is up to 70,000 polling staff as nation eyes them,” he said and added that army rendered full support in the election process.
He said that 75000 army personnel have been deployed for security. The secretary said helicopters would also be available for the Quick Response Force of the Pakistan army.
