LAHORE: As political parties accelerate the process of doling out party tickets to their candidates ahead of May polls, an interesting situation developed when a PML (N) worker climbed an electric pole in protest when party ticket was not awarded to a local political leader, SAMAA reports.
At PML (N) party secretariat in Lahore, several party workers protested against PML (N) leadership decision not to award party ticket to a local leader, Javed Watto.
SAMAA footage shows that a protesting worker climbed the pole and he threatened to touch high tension power lines if his demand was not fulfilled.
Efforts were made to persuade him to end his protest. After up to 15 minutes of persuation, he stepped down. – SAMAA
