LAHORE: Pakistan’s two former cricket legends Imran Khan and Sarfaraz Nawaz will compete in general election from a Lahore constituency.
Former fast bowler and MQM leader Sarfaraz Nawaz announced on Thursday that he would run for National Assembly election from NA-126 Lahore against former all-rounder and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
He said that he would submit his nomination papers on Friday. Mr Nawaz would also contest election from NA-48 Islamabad and has submitted his nomination papers.
Sarfaraz was elected as the MPA from a Lahore constituency in the past.
