PTI parliamentary board finalises party tickets for candidates from KPK


ISLAMABAD, April 1: A meeting of the parliamentary board of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was held here on Monday with the party’s chairman Imran Khan in the chair to finalize the party tickets for the candidates hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) for National Assembly and the provincial Assembly constituencies falling in the province.

“The meeting reviewed the applications of the party’s candidates for each national and provincial constituency. The recommendations made by PTI’s parliamentary board of KPK as well as proposals by the provincial, regional and district presidents of the party regarding the distribution of party tickets in the province,” said the spokesman of PTI in a statement issued here from party’s central secretariat.

The PTI spokesman said that in light of the recommendations from party’s provincial parliamentary board, the meeting finalised the list of its candidates from KPK for the distribution of party tickets in KPK.

The spokesman however said that the announcement of the candidates of the PTI would be made on April 8th after the completion of scrutiny
